You might think that to find quality arts and culture you would need to go into nearby Toronto.  But there is actually public art on display in many neighbourhoods within the city and you will find examples of great sculptures, murals, and metal and glasswork.  The McLean Community Center also hosts several art exhibits during the year, featuring local and Canadian artists that do everything from painting to photography. 

Ajax has fun events happening all the time for people of all ages.  Children can spend an afternoon skating or swimming and a young professional can spend a Saturday strolling through Pickering Village window shopping and having a coffee with friends.  There are also several golf courses located in Ajax for those wanting to entertain business clients or for someone who’s retired and just wants an excuse to be outside on a sunny summer day.
